Nate Herr spent more than 20 years establishing, protecting, and building the brands of some of the most iconic and popular recording artists, franchises, and record labels in entertainment. Prior to joining Genome as EVP Marketing/GM, Nate was the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Universal Music Enterprises (UMe), a division of Universal Music Group (UMG), the centralized $750M US catalog and special markets entity with the largest portfolio of recording artists in the world – The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Motown, Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra, U2, Maroon 5, and thousands more. Working closely in concert with all of UMG’s record labels in 77 international territories, UMe releases new recordings from heritage artists, with an emphasis on innovation, new technology, digital media, strategic marketing, and branding initiatives. Nate was responsible for marketing, digital marketing & media, business development, creative services, public relations, and promotions, with partnerships ranging from CBS, FOX, and Universal Pictures to AARP, iTunes, Facebook, Vevo/YouTube, Google, Spotify, and Milyoni.

Prior to this, Nate spent ten years as the General Manager at Verve Music Group, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operation of one of music’s legendary label brands, preserving its rich jazz history and building its legacy as the home to some of today’s top adult contemporary artists. Having begun his career at Island Records, he has held multiple positions in A&R and marketing.
