
Tim Ranney

Tim Ranney has twenty-five years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer with start-ups, turnarounds and rapidly growing companies in the fields of healthcare, technology, information services, publishing, telecommunications and supply chain management. Five of these companies were either successfully sold or merged with other entities and one was publicly-traded. He has been instrumental in re-positioning companies in the marketplace, creating strategic plans, establishing new pricing and partnering with all levels of management to translate organizational objectives into action plans that achieve results. He has also played a key role in raising capital through private placements, participating in investor roadshows and interfacing with the investment community.
Since 2011 he has been the Volunteer Business Leader and Partner to the Vice President, Disaster Services at the American Red Cross in Washington, D.C., providing leadership, counsel, financial modeling and risk management expertise for several on-going national initatives including Disaster Workforce Planning, Inventory Planning, and Emergency Sheltering Resourcing and Logistics. His expertise is designing detailed, sophisticated, financial models to accurately forecast resource requirements for national disaster scenarios. In 2012 he was also appointed to the National Disaster Advisory Council where he contributes to the review, analysis and recommendations for disaster programs. He is currently leading the implementation of a major technology information system for disaster event management.
Tim earned his MBA in Banking and Finance from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio and has a BBA in Finance and Investments from The George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
